Workshop Description
Managing projects is important to every business, yet many projects managed by companies do not meet their expectations. Using proper project management techniques you can achieve your project and business goals, save money on your projects, control costs, set a schedule and keep to it, and have your customers totally satisfied with your services.
This intensive introductory workshop provides the project management principles, processes, and tools you need to effectively plan, manage, and control projects. Participants are provided with the theory and practical examples of these techniques and tools. Workshop exercises are also provided to enhance learning and encourage participation. PM Tools & Techniques provides the basic fundamentals and framework of project management based on the Project Management Institute (PMI) standards and guidelines. This workshop is a prerequisite for any of the more advanced project management workshops or project management certificate programs.

NPM is a recognized PMI Educational Provider which permits participants to earn credits towards professional certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
Obtaining Project Management Certification
If you are working towards obtaining professional certification from PMI, this course provides credits towards project management experience which is required as a prerequisites to your application for registration.
Maintaining Project Management Certification
If you are already a project management professional (PMPĀ®), the Project Management Institute requires that you earn 60 professional development units (PDUs) every three years to maintain certification.
